Restoration Temple C.O.G.I.C. was founded in the late 1970's by Elder Joe Brunner. This church started in a storefront in Berkeley, MO in a subdivision known as 'the tracks'. This church started on the faith and determination of Elder Brunner to do a work for the Lord. He made the steps on faith. As a result this church grew and many were saved and filled with the Holy Ghost. The tracks were rocking.... As the congregation grew, the Lord led Elder Brunner to look for another building for this growing congregation. The Lord led Elder Brunner to 2002 Chambers. The Lord blessed at this location and the congregation continue to be blessed. But the Lord had more for Elder Brunner to do..which resulted in Elder Brunner having to give up the Pastorship of Restoration Temple. While Elder Brunner pondered these things, revival services were being conducted by Elder Sherman Strong, then an associate minister at Kossuth Temple COGIC. The Lord blessed the saints in these revival services and He gave Elder Strong favor with Elder Brunner and with the Saints at Restoration. After seeking the Lord for confirmation, Elder Brunner was led to present Elder Strong to Restoration.

Elder Sherman Strong later was installed as Pastor of Restoration Temple. The Lord blessed Elder Strong with the Spirit of Evangelism and the church has been blessed. Souls have been saved and the church is experiencing growth. Elder Strong places a strong emphasis on Holiness and teaches the saints that as we wait upon the coming of the Lord, we MUST live Holy and Godly in the Present World. "Holiness without which no man shall see the Lord"... Come and worship with us at any of our services. This church is the Sanctified Church on the Corner of Chambers Rd. and Ventura.
